School

School is where you get your education as a child and young person. Some young people are taught at home instead of school.

You start primary school full-time in the September after you turn 4. You have to stay in education until you’re 15 or 16, when you’ll take GCSE or BTEC exams in Year 11.

When you turn 16, you can choose to go to sixth form or college to continue your education.
